In April of 1988, Douglas and Ella Behling purchased a small distributing company in Watertown, Wisconsin. The company was then renamed DEB Wholesale and Distributing. The name DEB came from the first initials of both (D)oug and (E)lla (B)ehling's names. For the first nine years DEB Wholesale was located in the downtown business district in leased facilities.
Due to the loyal support of our customers and continued company growth, we moved into a new warehouse in the spring of 1998. In the fall of 1998, DEB Wholesale expanded territories and moved into North Central Illinois.
Again, due to continued growth, in the summer of 2001 we expanded the new warehouse with increased storage in dry goods, freezer, and cooler.
